Hi! I'm Kaiwen Tang.

I’m a product designer with a background in computer science, and often find myself acting as a seamless bridge between design and development. What really drives me is tackling problems that make me think in new ways: projects that push me to juggle systems thinking, intricate user needs, and business objectives all at once.

I’m always looking for the next challenge that’ll stretch me, whether that’s learning a new software tool, tackling a tricky design constraint, or figuring out how to make something both playful and practical. For me, design isn’t just about pixels on a screen—it’s about constant growth, curiosity, and finding solutions that feel natural and human.

Outside of design, you’ll often find me working out, surfing, or playing Pokémon!

I’m currently searching for a Summer 2026 Internship! I'm interested in positions such as User Experience/UX Designer, Product Designer, UX Researcher, or Product Manager. If there’s a unique role you think I could be a good fit for, I’d love to chat and explore how I can contribute!

Would you consider relocating for an opportunity?

Yup! I’m always itching to explore new places and expand both my professional skillset and overall worldview. I relocated to Indianapolis this past summer for my internship at Tenon and it was an eye-opening experience!

What industries or problem spaces excite you most?

I’m especially excited about industries where technology has real human impact—like AI for social good, accessibility, and inclusive design. I’m also drawn to spaces like healthcare and education, where thoughtful design can directly improve people’s quality of life. Even in enterprise SaaS, I love the challenge of turning complex workflows into experiences that feel intuitive and delightful.
